Fictional AI-assisted vocalist · Recurring musical persona
Lin Yue 林月
The voice and face of two musical trilogies and new story-driven worlds—moving from neon-lit journeys to connection, heartbreak, rediscovery, and dreams.
The musical persona
A character whose story unfolds through song
Lin Yue is the fictional AI-assisted vocalist and recurring character in Stephen Wayne’s music albums. She was first introduced with Neon Lanterns and became the voice and face of the Lanterns Trilogy, blending modern electronic music with Chinese influences, late-night journeys, and small stories told through song.
Beyond the Lanterns, the Signals Trilogy explores a more personal and contemporary side of her character. It begins with the playful attraction of No Translation, descends into the loneliness and emotional static of a breakup, and continues into the freedom of rediscovering herself in daylight.
Lin is not presented as a real singer. She is a fictional musical persona created through Stephen Wayne’s lyrics, creative direction, visual storytelling, and AI-assisted production tools.
Beyond the trilogies
New worlds through song
Lin’s voice continues into stories that move beyond the established trilogies.

Borrowed Skies
